Psychic School – Week Nine: “All The World’s A Stage”

So I have started a 10 week Psychic Mediumship Development course with the College of Psychic Studies in London.

I’ve decided that Saturday posts from now on will be a write-up of sorts, of the things I experience each week.

A mediumship development course, is not about learning how to be a Medium per se, but rather how to develop your innate mediumship ability.

Unlike psychic ability that many believe (including me) is an ability that we ALL have and can learn to tune into relatively easily, mediumship is usually something that people are called to. Though we all have the ability to connect with spirit, acting as a Medium is something that requires a lot of development and earnest commitment.

In short, psychic ability is about reading the energy of a physical being/object, and mediumship is about connecting to the spirit world, and serving as a channel for messages.

As an intuitive Tarot card reader I use my psychic ability a lot when reading, I literally pick up and read the energy of the person sitting with me, or tune into the energy of a person I am reading for remotely.

I do not need the aid of Tarot/Oracle cards to do this, I have read people’s energy my whole life without realising I was doing this, but I find using cards useful.

As a medium, I channel messages from the spirit world also when I am reading, and often times when I am talking on a day-to-day basis, and on this blog. It is these channelled messages that I use for the Wednesday Wisdom posts.

I never thought of myself as a Medium until I was identified as one by an internationally regarded Trance Medium.

So after getting my head around this, I enlisted on a Development course with a view to develop my gifts:

(ps..doesn’t the above blurb remind you of the blurb at the beginning of a Law and Order episode?! Ha!)

The Platform

No, I did not meet up with Shakespeare’s spirit this week!

Instead we did some platform work.

A professional medium’s work will often include standing on a platform in a room full of people, and giving messages from departed loved ones.

It is the kind of scene you may have seen on a TV show.

I have only been to a demonstration like this once, and I was blown away by how beautifully moving it was.

So this week, we did this kind of session amongst ourselves in class.

We had to stand in front of the group, and link with whichever spirit wanted to come in, and deliver a message to who that spirit was related to.

This was daunting stuff!

Accuracy is even more key when you are reading for a group of people.

You have to be able to relay facts about the spirit in such a specific way that only one member of the audience will recognise the energy as being for them.

Something about standing in front of an audience lends an extra layer of apprehension and pressure.

Yet do it we did.

I linked with two spirits that had messages for the tutor, and delivered those messages as clearly as I could.

The first spirit that linked with me was full of reverence and sorrow, a religious man who was actually a priest when living.

He used a variety of different symbols to show me who he was, but it took quite a bit of decoding.

In contrast, the second energy showed me her full image complete with her dog, and was even so kind as to tell me the name of the breed. (German Shepherd in case you were wondering!)

She showed me her surroundings too.

All I had to do in this case was describe what I saw.

Both energies had heartfelt messages to pass on.

I was exhausted after this 8 minute reading – to think that platform mediums stand on stage for a full hour, and do this!

Will that be me one day?

I have to say I can see it.

Me on stage – what next?!

Next week is the last week of the course, and I already know that when term begins in September I will be continuing onto the advanced aspect of the course.

I’m feeling sad that next week will mark the end of this particular part of the journey, but I am so ready for a rest!

It has been intense!

A Little Note about Tomorrows New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse – Clearing Out The Old, To Bring In The New

So tomorrows New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse falls in the sign of Cancer, and the message is super clear.

It is time to clear out the old in order to bring forth the new.

As mentioned in the Wednesday Wisdom post yesterday, there are new things on their way for each and everyone of us, big and small.

Think back to where you were/what you were doing in February 2018, those same themes will be creeping back into your life now, as the eclipse season we are entering,  harks back to the eclipses at the beginning of the year.

The sign of Cancer corresponds to The Chariot card in the Tarot – a card about divinely led movement forward.

You can only truly move forward when your path is clear.

Seeing as we are dealing with eclipse energy as well as New Moon energy tomorrow, there is the dual energy  of manifestation and letting go.

We can’t really have one without the other at this time.

This does not have to be as drastic as it sounds, it could be as beautiful as letting go of your long held beliefs that you are unlovable – and then seeing love manifest in your life!

This also may not happen that simply, or actually take place tomorrow!

But over the next few months, helped along by the Solar Eclipse on August 11th, we will see wonderful things come to fruition in our lives.

I intuitively feel that September and October will be great months for many of us.

This of course will not be without challenge, nothing ever is – but the rewards can be great.

So much love to you 🙂 Txx

Wednesday Wisdom – Get Ready To Receive!

20180709_201037.jpg

(Calling In Your Soulmate, Romance Angel Oracle Deck by Doreen Virtue and Clear Your Space, Archangel Oracle cards, also by Doreen Virtue.)

So this week’s message ties in heavily with the New Moon eclipse energy coming up in a couple of days. (Post all about that tomorrow)

It’s a simple and straightforward loving message:

“Get ready to receive the new!”

Both of these cards show figures holding out their arms to receive.

This is what we need to be doing this week, simply getting ready for the things we want to enter our lives.

The underlying message is one of preparation –  in order to receive the new, we will have to let go of some things to make space.

Does this resonate with you in any area of your life?

Do you feel this energy of expectation whilst also feeling as though there is some kind of need to spring clean?

To be continued in tomorrow’s New Moon post…

Animal Totem – The Fly: Don’t give up!

The other day I was sat at work, in my office and had the company of a big juicy fly with me.

It was a super hot day here in London and I had all the windows open, so it is no surprise really.

At the end of the day, the fly seemingly fell out of nowhere, hit my shoulder and landed on my computer drive upside down.

I called a colleague to come and rescue the little fella and we put him outside where I can only assume he hobbled off and perhaps died.

This affected me and I felt it was significant so I looked up the spiritual symbolism of The Fly:

Know that quick and abrupt changes in your thoughts, emotions and endeavors are afoot. Rapid changes in all aspects of your life are currently happening for you so be prepared to move quickly even in unfavorable and uncomfortable conditions. Fly can also signify an exponentially growing source of abundance is available for you right now. Use your keen eyesight to see the way. Never give up.

Well how appropriate!

The more I grow spiritually, the more able I aim to ascertain the countless signs and symbols in everyday life that are urging us on.

Today’s message from the fly was simple – keep going! Don’t give up in the face of sudden change!

It may be exhausting, but it’s the only way to keep flying.

Lots of love Txx

The road

So this week’s lesson came to me in the initial meditation that we do in order to raise our vibration for the class.

The tutor guides us on a meditation to meet a member of the other realm who will show/tell us guidance,  or provide whatever healing we are needing.

She guided us to a road – to our left was our past, the road itself was our present, and to the right was our future.

She asked us to wait for what Being would meet us on the road, and allow that Being to take us where we needed.

I was joined by an Angel, who took me in the direction of my future.

He showed me all the abundance that was waiting for me there, in the symbolic form of a market place at harvest time.

Apples were rolling off carts, the place was bustling and buzzing.

Yet somehow in the mist of such a familiar scene of prosperity, someone from my past turned up.

Or rather a person I did not know, who looked like the physical representation of many different people from my past.

I heard the words loud and clear:

“Do not try and take the past into your future”

Up until then, I was not aware that was what I was doing.

I thought I had made tremendous leaps and bounds into doing things differently.

The message was not that I had not, but rather that I was in danger of meeting the same people in my future if I did not take heed.

This exercise led to a class discussion about patterns, how we are doomed to repeat them until we do the work on ourselves, and learn to take different paths, make different decisions.

We discussed how this work is never ending, and that if we are serious about moving forward, the things we will have to leave behind are our ties not just from the past in this life, but ALL the past lives we have ever held.

This is not just in the form of people, but perhaps more often occurs in the form of behaviours, beliefs, and thought patterns.

Letting things go takes courage and sacrifice.

But there can only be a different future if we let go of past baggage.

This deep lesson about the past, present and the future is one that interests me a lot as a Tarot reader. Many people ask about the future in readings, what will happen, what they can expect – believe me, I ask the same things myself.

The answer is simple though, we are creating that future every moment that we are in the present.

Every time we do things a little differently than how we have done them before, is a step towards a different future.

Your fate does not lie in the hands of a psychic or medium, it does not even lie in the hands of an Angel or Spirit Guide, it lies in your hands only.

In your ability to hear guidance, and act upon it.

On your ability to be courageous and have faith.

In your willingness to break patterns.

In this way, the past, present and the future hold no meaning individually.

Our future can be the same as our past – unless we make changes.

This week, this class taught me that I was willing and ready to make changes in order to step into an abundant future.

Much love Txx

Wednesday Wisdom #85 – Facing Your Fears

20180629_115329.jpg

(Beyond The Threshold Of Fear, Rumi Oracle by Alana Fairchild)

There comes a point in life where we experience so many challenges that facing fear is no longer a choice but a common inevitability.

There is a blessing in being someone who has gone through a lot of tough things in life, it truly does make us grow in ways that are astounding.

On the night of the Full Moon I felt almost unbearable frustration about something going on in my life.

I felt ready to take a leap of faith, but was at the same time being blocked from it by myself and forces external.

I was being guided to both go for something – and also be patient!

As the Moon rose full in the sky my emotions spilled over and I got into a very fear based, angry place.

Except actually it was not as much of a fear based place that I had originally thought.

When I awoke the next day and sat for my morning personal meditation session, the combination of cards I received was perfect.

I realised that though I used to feel fear often, what I now perceive as fear is far less debilitating.

What now makes me fearful, is not being able to do what I know I should do!

What now makes me feel fearful is the chance that I may not be able to act on what my intuition is telling me.

I now am attuned to what is going on within me to such a large extent, that anything happening that is stopping me from following my guidance, is experienced as fear.

Read that last sentence back, it makes sense doesn’t it?

Fear is rarely about something outside of us coming to get us, instead it is most commonly experienced when we go against what we really need, want, or when something outside of us is stopping us from getting what we need or want.

This week’s card teaches us that we can cross this particular fear threshold, we can face those fears head on, listen to what they are teaching us, what want/need is going unanswered, and continue to work towards what we want regardless.

As you will know if you read these posts often, the deck this card comes from has an in-depth guidebook complete with sacred healing rituals.

One quote I would like to share with you from this book today is as follows:

“Rest now before a new adventure begins from a completely different state of being.

This oracle comes with spiritual guidance for you. You have broken through a barrier, a self-imposed barrier of fear (whether it seemed to originate from within your consciousness or from an external set of circumstances) that held you back from taking the steps you are now taking, or just about to take. These steps may feel strange, new, uncertain and exciting. Your mind might not have received the memo that fear based existence is no longer in operation for you. It may need a loving-tender, reassuring and firm update that the relationship you have with fear is now rather different. You are the witness, not the victim. “

p115 Rumi Orcale Guidebook, by  Alana Fairchild

How utterly beautiful.

To understand that fear does not need to be ignored, feared (!) or hidden from, you can look it in the eye, and continue to move forwards.

Much love always Txx
