Three Great Uses for Tea Tree Oil

So I am back from my holiday to Jamaica, and I just wanted to write a quick little post about how much use I got out of a little bottle of Tea Tree oil whilst I was away.

This little bottle is by no means finished, and over the last two weeks it was used as:

1. A Mouthwash.

Unfortunately due to a change in toothbrush, and a lack of proper brushing during the journey, I arrived in Jamaica with a little bit of gum bleeding, and later on developed a tongue ulcer.

I would usually have used a salt water rinse to help with this, but could not get a hold of a decent amount of salt in the hotel. So I turned to Tea Tree oil. I used a few drops in half a glass of warm water, and washed my mouth out with it two/three times a day after brushing. (Sometimes without even brushing.)

This worked wonders! Not only did it numb the pain for quite a while, but resulted in a healing of both the bleeding and ulcer within a few days.

   2. Deodorant

After about 10 days I ran out of Deodorant. The hotel shop charged 9 US dollars for a small roll-on, which I thought was ridiculous, so I turned to Tea Tree oil.

I rubbed a few drops of oil with my fingers into my underarms, and it worked! It even worked on my long journey back to England.

3. Treatment of Minor skin irritations

To my utter amazement, I did not receive a single mosquito bite in the whole two weeks!

Any other insect bites were minimal, and along with Aloe Vera Gel and Lavender oil, Tea tree oil helped to heal, and keep itching at bay.

So there you have it, three uses for Tea Tree oil you may not have thought of before.

See you in the next post.

Much love Txx
